ASHS admission results are out Ateneo Golf Foundation gives allowance scholarship to Ateneo Senior High School

Five scholars in the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School will receive monthly meal and transportation allowances for two school years, 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, thanks to the collective efforts of the Ateneo Golf Foundation (AGF) and its members.

On 16 April 2018, donations from the Ateneo Golf Foundation (AGF) and eight AGF members were received by the University for five scholars in Senior High School, Ateneo de Manila. The donations will provide the scholars’ monthly allowances for school supplies, meals and transportation, for two School Years, 2018-2019 and 2019-2020.

Ateneo Golf Foundation Chairman, Iggy Clavecilla, and Vice Chairman, Manoling Chan, together with Ateneo Alumni Association Chairman for the Sports Committee, Farley Aguila, presented their donation which was gratefully accepted by administrators of the Ateneo de Manila University, Dr Mel Oracion, Ateneo High School Principal, and Marge Pavia, Senior High School Coordinator for the Admission and Scholarship Office, together with Arnie del Rosario, Office of University Development Director.

The Senior High School welcomes donations from alumni and friends to augment the school’s resources for tuition and fees subsidies to deserving, financially-challenged, Senior High School students from public schools who may otherwise not be able to afford to study in a private school like the Ateneo. Historically, the school has been able to provide many students in need with full and partial scholarship grants. Yet scholars still face daily needs such as meals, transportation, and school supplies. The donation of the Ateneo Golf Foundation will certainly go a long way toward providing more scholars with a sense of security and their parents, much needed assistance.

The Ateneo Golf Foundation, established in November 1997, aims to promote social, recreational, and athletic activities among Ateneo alumni and students through golf, and, recently, tuition and allowance scholarships to college and high school students in the Ateneo de Manila.
