This school year 2017-2018, 10 deserving students will be able to pursue B.S. Management Engineering courses at the Ateneo de Manila University through the generosity of an alumnus.
On July 8, 2017, Anthony G. Sy (B.S.Management Engineering ’82) returned to the Ateneo to sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the scholarship fund "Pe Gan Heng and Julia Sykee Scholarship.” Named in honor of Sy’s parents, the scholarship award will cover 100% tuition and fees throughout the 4 academic years of each scholar. It is a continuation of the educational support that the Sy family has given for the Ateneo ME@40 Scholarship Campaign.

Sy, accompanied by family members and also members of the Foundaton of Ateneo Management Engineers (FAME), signed the MOA with university president Fr. Jose Ramon T. Villarin, S.J. Witnessing the event were Dr. Jose Maria Edito K. Tirol (Director, Office of Admission and Aid), Dr. Luis F. Dumlao (Dean, John Gokongwei School of Management), Mr. Noel Bautista (FAME president) and Mr. Gener Bautista (former FAME president).
Sy was accompanied by family members, Foundation of Ateneo Management Engineers members, and past recipients of the Pe Gan Heng and Julia Sykee Scholarship.
